Pray without ceasing.
1 Thessalonians 5:17

We all desire God's best for our lives, but everyday has it challenges, it's frustrations, we have our busy schedules, our bodies ache; and sometimes life seems so very ordinary. God has the ability however to teach us and give meaning to even the ordinary if we will allow Him to be involved in every detail of our lives. He can take the ordinary and make it extraordinary. The daily grind can become for us a daily find. If we stay connected with God throughout the day and all of our activities we can find treasure in the most obscure part of our lives. We can commune with Him always, He is with us always. He wants to be involved in the most menial chores and activities of our day. He cares if we are disappointed, tired, or frustrated. It is only Him that can make a difference in our day. Prayer without ceasing is not abandoning our daily activities but including God in them; making our prayer life apart of our daily routines.

Prayer

Lord help me to be aware of your presence in my daily life. When I draw near to you my heart fills with joy. Thank you for the joy of life and the treasures found in the simplest of tasks. You are all I need to get through the day. Amen.
