Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.
Titus 3:5

We desire to be closer to God but there are constant reminders of our humanity. We are bound to have uncertainties but there is no need for us to fumble about in the dark, drowning in a sea of uncertainty and confusion. The light of God's word dwells within us through the Holy Spirit and His Son Jesus Christ. It's not that we don't trust in the capability of our God but we understand all too well our own human frailty. God is waiting for us, waiting for us to allow a continual flow of His Spirit within us. Not depending on our own capabilities but being aware that we must allow His Spirit to create our hearts brand new, and make our thoughts His. We can't but He can. We are saved from our sins through the blood of Jesus Christ and given access to the presence of Almighty God, but we are constantly in need of repentance.  We need to understand that we are in the process of being changed. I have not met anyone who was perfected and still breathing.  The more we seek His light and immerse ourselves in His presence the more we will be changed and the closer we will step towards Him. He will teach us His ways day by day.

Prayer

We humbly pour out our hearts to You today Lord, repenting as we seek Your presence. We have sinned and we all fall short of Your glory and Your standards.  Thank You for sending Your Son Jesus Christ  that permits us the opportunity to come before Your throne. It is only by Your grace and mercy that we remain. Fill us with your treasures and wisdom as we immerse ourselves in your presence.  Thank You for Salvation and the constant progression and change in our lives. Fill our lives with the light of You. We need you Lord, teach us Your way!

Amen.
