Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand.
Joel 2:1

God has shown the extent of His great love and mercy towards us when He sent His only Son to take the place for all of our sin. The most beautiful love story of all time is when God  embraced all of humanity with His love through His Son Jesus Christ. Turning away from this precious gift only serves to assure us of certain destruction. Sin is a disease that destroys all that it touches, no one is immune to it, and Jesus Christ is the only antidote. We find it easy to share the love of God but more difficult to share His judgment with those who refuse to repent. We certainly don't want to offend anyone. What a disservice we are actually doing. We have a responsibility to repent before God and encourage others to also. True repentance with our hearts broken and sorrowful, weeping before our Father. There is no doubt that God forgives the cries of a heart that is truly sorry. Sound the alarm for those turning a deaf ear to God's mercy and rejecting the precious gift of His Son. Judgment will come for all. Seek Him while He can be found, spread His word and truth to all who  have ears to hear.

Prayer

Forgive me Lord. Your mercy is greater than my sin. I repent with more than words but with my heart. Forgive me for trying to mince words and not offend, and doing an injustice to those who need to hear. Give me wisdom and strength to carry out your perfect will and to share Your truth with a world dying to hear.

Amen.
