Daily Devotion  January 11, 2002 I planted the seed, Apollo's
watered it, but God made it grow. It is so wonderful to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others, especially when they immediately receive it and accept Him into their lives. On the other hand it can be frustrating to share Jesus with them only to watch them walk back to their troubles. They come to you seeking answers for their problems; yet when you present them with the truth and the answer they need (Jesus) they seem to reject it. Instead of feeling frustrated because you did not witness instant results remember and trust in God to provide the increase. He is the only one who can cause the seed you have planted in them to grow. Continue to plant the seeds of hope, love, mercy, truth, and grace of Jesus Christ and be assured that seed will be watered, and that God will cause it to grow. It may seem difficult to be patient but all we can do is to faithfully sow God's word into their lives. Some are ripe for the harvest and others not quite ready; but each seed that is planted will be watered, and will grow. Prayer Equip me Lord to plant the seeds of truth of your word into the lives of others. Give me love, compassion, and patience to trust you to continue to work in their lives.
