The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.
Isaiah 40:8

 
Change can be threatening to many of us, Yet our lives are filled with constant changes; our bodies change, our moods change, the weather changes, governments change, etc. Although life is easier and more comfortable when things remain the same change comes and many times when we expect it the least. We are not always consistent with our decisions and change our minds or say things that we really don't mean.  In the midst of our ever changing lives there is One who remains unchangeable, One whose word is true, One who never breaks a promise, and whose every act is birthed in love. When we begin to feel unsure of ourselves and the world surrounding us, we can know that God never changes.  He has always been, and will never cease to exist.  His love and character has remained the same through the ages.  He is perfect in all His ways. So when life changes and leaves us feeling un-settled we can trust and remain secure in the knowledge that our God is the same today, yesterday and forever.
