Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth.
John 16:7

For those who choose to have a real Christmas tree in their home at Christmas cleanup is anything but easy.  No matter how magnificent the tree or how fresh when you get it, there is always a disarray of needles.  It seems no matter how often we vacuum over the carpet we always weeks and once even months later seem to find a needle.  It is that way with us sometimes as soon as we think we have our ducks all in a row and and our lives all cleaned up nicely the Holy Spirit will reveal to us a needle.  An area in our lives that requires change and is  brought to the surface.  Once the Holy Spirit  initiate's the change it is then up to us to actually do something about it.  It is hard for us to face the truth sometimes, especially when it is concerning ourselves. If we are to continue to grow in knowledge and in truth we must be willing to obey God's voice and follow as the Spirit leads us, and at the very least make an honest attempt to pick up the needles when they surface in our lives. God is always ready to do the hard work as long as we will take the first step.  The moment we think we have arrived is the very moment we will cease to grow.

Prayer

We are continually in need of Your guidance, renew our minds and teach us your ways. Reveal to us any area in our life that is not pleasing you.  We desire to grow in truth, help us to obey and to follow where you lead.  In your name we ask.

Amen.
